Vipera — Portofino

The Concept

A 30-second vertical ad, produced entirely with AI, for Vipera, a woven-bag brand with a boutique in Portofino. The film follows a day at the harbour. It opens at sunset on a wooden gozzo, with the couple arriving from the sea. Then a walk along the waterfront past the pastel houses and a pause at the stone balustrade, with the silver and gold tote in the foreground. Inside the boutique come the pink neon signs and the bags on display, and it closes with a gelato above the harbour in warm evening light.

Applications

The film was made for Reels, Stories and paid campaigns on Instagram and Facebook, in the 9:16 format that fills a phone screen. The edit is fast, with scenes lasting a few seconds to hold attention to the last frame. Instead of showing the bag on a plain background, it places it in the setting that makes it desirable and takes the viewer inside the real store. The same material yields frames for posts, covers and newsletter images, and shorter 6- or 15-second cuts for campaigns, with the bag identical from one scene to the next. Everything was produced digitally: no crew in Portofino, no shooting day.

Technical Workflow

Storyboard. Before any animation we wrote a 16-scene storyboard with two variants per scene, and reviewed it scene by scene before moving on to motion. Locations. Harbour, square, entrance and boutique interior were rebuilt keeping the store's signs and fittings. No people or third-party brands were carried over from the reference photos. The Portofino sign, the café table with canvas director's chairs and the boats moored along the quay place the story in a recognisable harbour. Product. The bag and the ivory linen suit were locked as references from the start, so they stay identical in every scene: same metallic weave, same gold handles, same cut of the jacket. This is the most delicate part of a generated film: without fixed references, the weave and the colour of the handles would drift from one clip to the next. Animation and edit. Each scene was first created as a still image, then animated one clip at a time. The clips were edited into a single vertical 4K film, from sunset on the gozzo to the gelato above the harbour.
