The Concept

An AI studio shoot for a catalogue series on digital models cast to the brand: among the garments, a black leather-trimmed trench and a burgundy suit. The pale grey backdrop and concrete floor carry across the wide shots; what changes is the garment, the model, the pose and the camera distance, leaving the fabric to do the work. Styling is treated as part of the garment rather than decoration around it: a wide-brimmed hat and pointed-toe knee-high boots with the trench, gold-tone necklaces on both looks, a belt with a metal buckle on the suit. Framing runs from full-length to three-quarter to a close-up on construction, where the stitch line along the lapel, the button on the pocket and the applied logo label all read clearly. The backdrop holds the two looks differently: against the coat's matte black the separation is sharp and the gloss of the leather lapels and cuffs is what catches the light, while the suit sits close to the grey and the break comes from the black ribbed knit underneath.

Applications

Catalogue imagery lives in the category grid, where garments sit side by side and any shift in crop or backdrop reads as a fault in the product rather than the photo. The detail shot rounds out the carousel and answers the question that usually precedes a return.
