Hide&Jack — Crimson Sole

The Concept

AI footwear shoot for the Hide&Jack sneakers: navy croc-print upper, red sole, blood-red backdrop. Colour does most of the work on this performance-driven campaign, with the cool navy leather separating from the saturated red behind it and never bleeding into the red of the sole, which is the brand's signature. The levitating three-quarter shot runs the embossed HIDE&JACK lettering tone-on-tone along the midsole, against a graded red sweep. Head-on against flat red, the pale blue flat laces, the gold H&J medallion on the tongue loop and the dotted rubber toe bumper finally read. The overhead flat lay sets the pair on a raw concrete slab, gold lettering printed across the sockliner and the croc print reading clearly across the toe in flat daylight. The outsole macro closes on the 45°35'0"N 12°3'0"E coordinates cut into the rubber, on a warm orange ground crossed by a streak of light.

Applications

The shots cover the moments where a sneaker actually gets picked. The levitating three-quarter and the head-on pair sit on a plain backdrop, so they crop to square and 4:5 with no cut-out work and leave room for copy or a price flash in paid social. The outsole macro answers the shopper who wants the tread pattern and the engraving up close; the concrete flat lay earns its keep further down the funnel, on the PDP, where the silhouette from directly overhead, the sockliner and the croc print in flat daylight all get read. On a footwear catalogue, angle repeatability is what keeps a product grid lined up, and the same file here has to hold across Meta Ads, Google Shopping, lookbook and e-commerce PDPs.

Technical Workflow

A virtual set, lit for warm-cool cinematic contrast to bring out the printed grain in the leather and the satin sheen on the rubber sole. It is sneaker still life built entirely in generative AI, with no physical set and no location, and the production stack is Midjourney v6, Flux.1, Magnific AI and Photoshop. The ground shifts from a graded red sweep to a raw concrete slab to the warm orange field of the macro, while the shoe reads as the same model frame to frame and the reds stay matched between backdrop and sole. Everything that identifies the model is small: the gold H&J logo on the tongue loop, the embossed HIDE&JACK lettering along the midsole, the 45°35'0"N 12°3'0"E coordinates cut into the outsole, the flat lace weave, the dotted rubber on the toe bumper and the tread. In footwear packshots those micro brand marks are the most fragile part of the render.
